This Ski Supreme inboard/outboard ski and wakeboard has a fiberglass hull, is 21.17 feet long and 90 inches wide at the widest point. The boat weighs approximately 2890 pounds with an empty fuel tank and without any gear or passengers.

At one end of the inboard spectrum are the low-profile, sit-on the floor thrill machines that are often offered as entry-level tow boats. At the other end lies Ski Supreme's V210 Medalist. With its high gunwales and deep, comfortable interior seating, rear engine configuration and integrated swim platform, this boat might seem to have more in common with recreational inboard/outboard designs than with tournament-ready tow boats.

The reality lies somewhere in the middle, however. Unlike general-purpose runabouts, the V210 retains the separate rudder and recessed, shaft-driven propeller of the true inboard. It provides the same flat-running, fast-turning performance inboard owners have come to expect, but rides a bit looser in the bow, cuts through chop with less banging and tops out a few miles per hour faster than the average center-engine ski boat.

The Medalist rides on a hand-laid hull, which is strengthened by a carbon fiber-reinforced stringer system and incorporates biaxial laminate materials and a layer of Hydropel resin to serve as a waterproof barrier against chalking and blistering. The deck-to-hull joint is a shoe-box fit that is screwed in place and then bonded with 6 inches of biaxial fiberglass laminate, creating the strength and rigidity of "unibody" construction.

The MerCruiser topped out speeds at nearly 50 mph. This speed, combined with the high freeboard, gives the boat great big-lake cruising and skiing ability.
